SHINee's Onew Shows Support For Key's Musical 'In The Heights'

Nothing shines brighter than the brotherly love SHINee members have for one another.

On Friday, October 2nd, Onew showed support for member Key by attending his musical, "In The Heights."
"I love you," said Key along with the photo.To show their proof of support, Key updated a photo of him with SHINee's leader posing infront in front of the musical's poster. Both holding up a thumbs up, the two are smiling at the camera showing off their closeness.
Key is currently playing in the musical "In The Heights," which will be on until November 22.

Not long after Jonghyun's solo album and SHINee's "Married to the Music" were released, the group continues their momentum by releasing a Japanese single "Sing Your Song."

On the Oct. 14, SHINee uploaded the last of six music video teasers for the upcoming single through their official Japanese Instagram account. Each member has an individual 15-second teaser while final teaser shows all five members outside of a school, playing guitar, piano, and singing. 

The single is scheduled to release on Oct. 27.

SHINee first debuted in Japan in 2011 with their album "The First." They later went on to release more Japanese albums, with "Boys Meet U" in 2013 and "I'm Your Boy" in 2014. This will be their first Japanese song released in 2015. 

Taemin is also rumored to be preparing for a solo comeback and second album, so SHINee fans will have a lot to look forward to in the next few months!

SHINee's Onew Shows Support For Key's Musical 'In The Heights'

On Friday, October 2nd, Onew showed support for member Key by attending his musical, "In The Heights."

SHINee’s first Thailand concert was a success

The “SHINee World IV” concert in Bangkok took place on Sep.27 and was a s.

The 3-hour show was not only the band’s first concert in Thailand since its debut, but it came packed with the latest tracks and old favourites.

In between songs, the band also took the time to thank the fans. “We remember when we were here in 2008 after our debut,” the group told fans. “It’s a strange feeling to reminisce, we will never forget the love and support you gave us and we’ll be back,” SHINee told fans.

The crowd in turn took time to sing along and thank the group in Korean. Chants of “Thank you for coming” and “Come back anytime” could be heard throughout the show.

More than 200 reporters were also at the venue to capture the precious moments.

Jackson 5, Backstreet Boys, and... Big Bang?
A new list by Rolling Stone compiled the "50 Greatest Boy Band Songs of All Time," and several K-pop acts made the cut. Songs by SHINee, Big Bang, INFINITE, Seo Taiji, and TVXQ all made it into the top 50.

In essence, Rolling Stone admits that 10% of the best boy band songs ever are part of the K-pop genre.
SHINee's "Sherlock" was the highest ranked K-pop song on the list, heralded as "Korea's first 'hybrid remix.'" "Sherlock" came in at No. 12 on the list, just missing out of a spot in the top 10 best boy band songs ever.
Seo Taiji and Boys' "Nan Arayo (I Know)," arguably the first modern K-pop song, came in at No. 36.
 Big Bang's "Fantastic Baby" came in at No. 22 while TVXQ's "Mirotic" came in at No. 31.
The lowest ranked K-pop song on the list came in at No. 42, and went to INFINITE's "The Chaser."
The top spot went to The Jackson 5's "I Want You Back," while the final spot on the list went to Mindless Behavior's "My Girl."
The requirements being included on the list were that the boy bands were "Irresistibly catchy, unapologetically inauthentic, sexy and they know it."
Rolling Stone nixed popular Boy bands like Hanson, 5 Seconds of Summer, Boyz II Men, and several other popular boy bands for not being "sufficiently svengali'd" or being "too close to the Motown vocal group tradition."

SHINee's Onew Joins Instagram With Strange Username

Shawols rejoice as the oldest member of their favorite group has joined Instagram. SHINee's Onew is now the third member of the group alongside Jonghyun and Key, but some may have noticed he has a less than identifiable username.
But as SHINee fans know, Onew's weirdness is to be expected.
For those members of Instagram looking to follow Onew, his username is dlstmxkakwldrl. Koreaboo reports that this roughly translates to "Insta Old Man" using a Hangul keyboard. The "Old Man" portion (MangJingKi 망징기) is the nickname that is given to the oldest member of the group.
So far Onew's posts have been...pretty odd. There are three posts with two being walls and then a picture of what looks to be 3rd Month in Hangul or March...even though March is over. Onew's profile picture is of a cartoonish looking boy with glasses. All in all, Onew is as strange as usual. But Shawols would expect nothing less of him.
In other news, perhaps Onew joining Instagram will increase the chances of teasers for SHINee's 2015 comeback. Earlier this year after their Tokyo Dome concert series, Minho explained that the group was making preparations for a Korean comeback slated for this year.
Little is known about when this comeback will happen, but with SHINee set to bring the fourth iteration of the "SHINee World" on May 16 and May 17 in Seoul. The concert suggests a comeback as early as May, but then again, that would make their schedule jam packed.

SHINee World IV Concert Schedule Suggests Group's 2015 Comeback Is Expected In May

While SM Entertainment fans may be smitten with EXO's comeback, it is starting to look like that another one of their extremely popular groups may be coming back shortly after.

Shawols may indeed be in for an early treat.
After announcing that they were planning for a 2015 Korean comeback, SHINee has also scheduled another "SHINee World" concert at the Olympic Park Stadium. The concert series will be two days in Seoul set for May 16 and 17. Given that a concert is usually a launch pad for an album release, does this mean that SHINee will make their 2015 comeback in May?
At a press conference marking the end of their Tokyo Dome concert series, SHINee's Minho explained their plans for a 2015 Korean comeback.
"We are in the midst of preparations. As it has been a while since our last Korean album, and we are also excited. We don't want to disappoint our fans, so we are preparing hard for the album. We'll return by the end of the year," explained Minho.
Admittedly, May would be an extremely quick turnaround for an album release given that since their last album, both Taemin and Jonghyun had spent a lot of their time doing solo promotions with little room for group activities. Unless of course they have been preparing a new album since Jonghyun ended his solo activities.
SHINee is notoriously hardworking, so it is certainly a possibility that they could make a 2015 comeback as early as May. However, in order to give the boys a relaxed return, perhaps some Shawols would be willing to wait until later in 2015 to see their favorite idols return.
For those who are not familiar with SHINee, the five member idol group is comprised of Lee Jinki, Kim Jonghyun, Kim Kibum, Choi Minho, and Lee Taemin. The group recently celebrated their six year anniversary since their debut in 2008.

SM Entertainment opens 2015 with solo debut of SHINee’s Jonghyun, responds to issues on alleged ‘leaked’ schedule of artists’ solo releases and comebacks

 

SM Entertainment started 2015 by giving fans some things to look forward to this new year. The giant South Korean record label, which is home to some of the biggest names in K-pop, teased fans with an upcoming release.

SM released a mysterious teaser image on January 1 on SMTOWN's official website.
The teaser was an image of a triangle transforming into ten squares. It was accompanied by a lengthy post, according to KpopStars. While it did not reveal which among SM artists will have the upcoming release, fans were quick to speculate that it could be EXO's or the solo debut of f(x)'s Amber or SHINee's Jonghyun.
The teaser image was accompanied with a message which says that that the artist will be revealed on January 2. The following day, fans were thrilled to know that it is actually SHINee's Jonghyun. The idol's first solo mini album "Base" is scheduled to be released on January 12, marking SM's first idol group member to go solo and release an album this year.
According to Soompi, the SHINee member is known for his charming voice and songwriting skills. On the same day of the revelation, teaser photos and a video of his solo debut were also released. In the teaser clip, Jonghyun was seen with his hands chained up as he says, "The reason why we crave danger more. Why we enjoy it more."
The idol will promote his mini album on KBS's "Music Bank" on the 9^th, on MBC's "Music Core" on the 10^th, and on SBS's "Inkigayo" on the 11^th, Koreaboo reports.
In other news, SM Entertainment responded to the issues about an alleged artists' release schedule that was rumored to be "leaked" by an internal source.
This rumored schedule contains a supposed schedule of solo debuts, album releases, and comebacks for the first half of 2105. It reads,
"January: SHINee's Jonghyun & EXO
February: Girls' Generation's Taeyeon & Red Velvet
March: SHINee's full-length album & EXO's repackaged album
April: SHINee's repackaged album & f(x)'s mini-album
May: Super Junior Yesung's solo album & Super Junior-M Henry's album & BoA's full-length album
June: TVXQ & S.M.ROOKIES' debut album"
The circulating schedule is not an official one from SM, claims the record company. It also said that they haven't confirmed nor finalized the listed projects.
"The information spreading online regarding SM's lineup for the first-half of 2015, which has been spreading online, has not been leaked from someone within the agency," said a rep from SM.

Daftar Lagu Album 'Odd' SHINee

4thフルアルバム「Odd」で戻ってくるボーイズグループSHINeeのコンサートのリハーサル中の姿がキャッチされた。

15 日、SMTOWNの公式サイトには「SHINeeは夜遅くまでリハーサル中！『SHINee CONCERT SHINee WORLD IV in SEOUL』をお楽しみに」という書き込みと共に汗をかきながら一生懸命コンサートを準備しているSHINeeの姿を収めた写真が掲載された。

写真に写るSHINeeは、メイクをせずにラフな服装でステージの上でコンサートの練習中だ。気楽で余裕溢れるように見えるが、圧倒的なオーラとカムバックに対する強い意志が感じられ、目を引く。

18 日のニューアルバムの発売に先立ち、SHINeeは本日(15日)から17日までの3日間、ソウルオリンピック公園の体操競技場で開かれる単独コンサート 「SHINee CONCERT SHINee WORLD IV in SEOUL」でニューアルバムのタイトル曲「View」をはじめ、新曲のステージを初披露する。

タ イトル曲「View」はディープハウスジャンルのアップテンポな楽曲で、メンバーのジョンヒョンが自ら作詞を務めて、愛の美しさを様々な感覚を取り入れて 独特に表現した。続いて「Love Sick」は上品でトレンディなメロディが魅力的なアップテンポなR＆B曲で、長い間共にしてきた年上の恋人に向けた真の愛を甘いボーカルで歌い、 SHINeeが本日の公演でどんなパフォーマンスを見せてくれるのか、期待感を高めている。
